The Plan and Route

When running from coast to coast, it's a good idea to have a plan. Although the route may change slightly and adjustments will be made along the way, here is the outlined idea. I will run from San Fransisco, CA to New York, NY averaging 20-30 miles a day over the course of 6 months. The total daily mileage will be broken into 8-10 mile runs executed a couple times throughout the day. Roughly, the mileage between San Francisco and New York is 3,200 miles, so at a minimum, if I only run 20 miles a day, I should cross the country in about 6 months.

I also have a two man support crew joining me for the duration of the 6 months. We will be crossing the country in a 30ft motor home, which will be an amazing moving rest stop during the day, BUT we are more than happy to take a warm meal and bed in your home if you would like to have us!!!
